I was born and raised in Jackson, Minnesota, a very small town in the southwestern part of the state. I went to college at South Dakota State University for two years and then transferred to the University of Arizona in Tucson. I graduated with a major in Physical Education and Biology and taught school for one year in Tucson. I returned to Minnesota where I met my husband and I worked for him in the livestock trucking business. After 17 years of marriage and one child we divorced. Since my divorce I have been busy with several new ventures. I spent 5 years owning a License Center which licensed cars and other vehicles. Then for 7 years I owned a golf course and warehouse business which was a great experience. I love golf and enjoyed teaching the kids and learning all the aspects involved in golf course management. After selling the golf course I was looking for a new challenge so my friend and I started a new business called "coin critterz" which manufactures children's plush animal banks and other products. I have been in the Chicks Laying Nest Eggs Investment club almost from the beginning. We have learned so much about stocks including what to buy, how to buy and when to sell. Our club has awesome women from all different stages of life and although we only see each 1 -2 times a year we have great discussions and I think we try to remain flexible and willing to listen to each member.
