 What’s up with the book?
When
I decided to start an investment club with all of my girlfriends back
in 1998, there weren’t any books out there that gave easy-to-read, step-by-step
instructions on how to do it. Well, OK, there were a couple of books,
but a few chapters into them (if I hadn’t already fallen asleep), I
was confused. I needed simple. I needed fun! I gathered up my girlfriends
across the country and decided we’d figure it out as we went along,
and then I'd write the book. Brilliant, I thought. Lucky enough for
the Chicks, Crown Publishers loved the idea too!

The book teaches you
how to start an investment club, how to get your club online and how
to begin with a simple philosophy to investing in the stock market.
(There's a little gossip contained between the pages but don't tell
my editor. I snuck it in. Without it, investment topics alone can get
a little boring. ) Have everyone in your club, or prospective club members
read the book so you have a common starting point at your first meeting.
This makes the whole process ten times easier. Just ask me... I conducted
the experiment.
The book covers most of what is here on the website, and then some.
Just because you've copied and printed most of this site, sometimes
it's a lot easier to have a hard cover book sitting right next to you
on the nightstand. Besides, it's a lot easier to read while sitting
on the toilet. Chicks Laying Nest Eggs is also the perfect gift
for all the overwhelmed women you know. What I'm trying to say is, just
do it. Just buy it. Get Chicky with it.
