Question of the Week

QOW Archives »

What surprised you most about Chick Fest '01?

Chick Susie  How completely organized the inaugural event was, it was well thought out and the attention paid to details was extraordinary.

Chick Jana  What surprised me the most is that we actually pulled it off and with flying colors. Since this was the first Chick Fest ever, I wasn't sure it was going to go as planned and it was so nice to see it go well and that everyone appeared to have a great time and learn a ton! Now we just need to start planning the next Chick Fests! Stay tuned!

Chick Lynn  That we could take 52 women from across the U.S., learn and have fun together!!! It has amazed me all week how well we all just clicked together! Phew!!!!! and WOW!! Can't wait for "nest" year:-) Smooches!

Chick Cheryl   Karin touched on this Saturday night at the closing dinner. Earlier that day, I had told her how I had been dreading the Fest somewhat. Mainly, because I've been so overwhelmed with concern over my dad's illness that I just didn't feel capable of inspiring anybody, especially 50 Chicks that I'd never met. Wow, I had no idea that those 50 women would actually end up inspiring me! Their enthusiasm, honesty and desire to learn were exactly what I needed! Thank you all you Festers!!!!! (oooooo, "festers"... that doesn't really sound complimentary, now does it?!)

Chick Jeanette  What surprised me the most, I think, is how much everyone seemed to get out of learning how to do the Chicks Dozen. They learned how to figure the numbers and found it to be much easier than they thought.

Chick Kristin  I was most surprised, pleasantly, that my mother was able to introduce herself to the entire group of attendees without being shy. She did a great job, and later told me that she had fun learning the Chicks' philosophy
Saturday morning! I'm so proud of her! Chick Karin's excellent use of the projector and PowerPoint slides took a close second!

Chick Karin  That I had so much fun! I thought I was going to be so stressed trying to "perform" that I wouldn't have fun. I had so much fun meeting all the new Chicks, watching them learn about the stock market and seeing the lights go on, analyzing companies, lounging by the river, touring my new house, dancing up a storm, and just plain ole being a Chick with a bunch of other Chicks! So much fun.
