Question of the WeekQOW Archives »If you could give one gift to one person living today, what would you give and who would you give it to? Chick Karin If I could give one gift to one person alive to today, I would give my husband Phil a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team. He has been dreaming of a chance to play for his country since he was a young kid skating on the ponds in Minnesota, but the timing has never been right for him to make it. If I could give the gift, I would. But since it is not up to me, I will just hope someone else gives it to him. I will give Phil the one gift I can give him this Christmas... me. NOTE: Click Here for an update on Karin's wish. Chick Kristin Boy, this is timely. If I could give one gift to anyone this holiday season, I would give my aunt the gift of life. She was recently diagnosed with terminal bone cancer, and her son, my godson, is still in high school. I would want for her to be able to beat this illness for a second time, (she's a breast cancer survivor as well) so that she could live long enough to see her youngest child graduate from high school and/or college, at the very least. Chick Lynn I would give back to my daughter her boyfriend that was just shot and killed so violently and unnecessarily in Santa Barbara this past weekend. He was 22 years old, having fun with a bunch of his friends when some young punk decided to start shooting into a crowd. He was a beautiful young man on his way... This has been the saddest week of my life and my daughter's. Heavy hearts do not even begin to describe the sadness and feeling of such helplessness. Please don't forget to tell people that you love them. Chick Susie I would give my niece Kelly one day of being a typical child. One day when she did not have to push her walker in front of her to gain mobility. One day when she could communicate with everyone orally and truly tell us what is going on in her little mind. One day when she could actually get angry with her sister, her cousins, her Mom and Dad and we would all understand. Just one day of typical fun. Chick Cheryl Here are the two gifts I would most like to give, although I am capable of neither: For my mother, it would be the gift of inner peace and joy this holiday season as she mourns the recent loss of my father. For my husband, a new car. His engine blew up on the freeway two days ago and is beyond repair. UGH. Chick Jeanette
If it were possible for me to give any gift to any one person, I would give
the gift of perfect health to Pete. He is just too nice a guy to have as
many ailments as he has had at his age. Chick Jana
One gift to one person. Too limited for me. I would give Mac peace of mind.
I would give my children all the confidence I could. I'd give my family the
best health in the world and I would give everyone affected by September 11
their loved ones back. I don't think that's too much to ask, right Santa? |
