What is your favorite TIME MANAGEMENT TIP?

My favorite time management tip? Do you know who you're asking? My husband just told me the other day that he had read "this article" on time management and that I waste 1200 hours a year because I'm so disorganized. Whatever. My biggest time management tip would be to marry a time manager and just follow along. Chick Karin

Use Quicken (or similar financial software). When you print your tax report with the touch of a button next spring, you'll be glad you did! Or when your husband asks you how much you spend on groceries per month, you can do that. I could go on and on, bottom line, Quicken has helped this clutter queen feel at least a bit organized! Time Management? What's that? I think Chick Susie will probably have the best answer to this, so I'll just say, do what Chick Susie does. I do my best to make a list either before I leave work or before I go to bed at night of the activities for the next day. Then it's just a play-it-by-ear to see if I can actually fit in all the tasks. I'm sure after I read Chick Susie's tip, I'll be better off. Chick Jana

Learn to prioritize. Chick Susie

I set my wristwatch 10 minutes fast. That way, after I look at it and panic for the first millosecond, I realize I still have 10 minutes; then I get moving. I was born two weeks late and haven't caught up yet, so this little trick works for me. Beth

Keep your desk clean. Believe it or not, studies have shown that a person working with a messy desk will spend, on average, one and a half hours per day either being distracted by things in their view or looking for things. Keep the mess in front of you at a minimum and you'll have better focus on what you need to do to increase your daily productivity. JennieB

Make a list. I, myself, am not a great manager of time. But my sister? That girl can get stuff done! She makes lists of what to clean, who to call, where she's shopping, what she's buying...and the "list" goes on. (Did I mention that she doesn't have kids yet? I can't wait! chiktracy

I get up early and start my day off by a list that I have prepared the night before. My day starts off with a nice workout and then off for the day. Exercise and healthy eating habits help me cope with the everday stress of work etc. But I am still alive and do treat myself to goodies when I want. redhen

Learn to say NO. Politely saying no to unnecessary or unimporant (or less important) things should become a habit. Saying no frees up time for the things that are most important. anonymous
