What 1 life event are you most thankful for?

I am most thankful for having had the opportunity to live in Spain. I learned so much about another culture, language and way of life that I never would have experienced had I not left Wisconsin. Spaniards truly cherish their family, religious and cultural traditions and country. Being a nonnative speaker made me drop my American expectations and be more tolerant, patient and humble. And I finally had to make decisions for myself without being able to call my parents first -- talk about growing up quickly.

Thank you, thank you, Mom and Dad, for allowing me to live so far away from you and for paying for my expenses (when I didn't exceed the credit card limit -- smile!) Chick Kristin

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only son"... and all that that implies. That would be the one life event that I'm most thankful for. I'm thankful for a lot of life events, but none of them would have been possible without that one. Chick Karin

The life event that I am most thankful for is my birth. I am happy that I was born to the parents I was, that I was born into a Christian family, having these same two parents until they both died, and knowing I was loved at all times. I grew up with discipline and love, was told stories or read to every night, knew the difference between right and wrong at a very early age, and always felt secure. I hope that I have been able to pass all of this on to my children. Chick Jeanette

Having babies! I don't remember life before them and that's mostly because WHO CARES!? I love my kids, and live for them, and though they drive me crazy (the other day McKenna told her class that her Mommy drinks a little wine, but Daddy drinks the whole bottle!) I feel it is the best accomplishment I've had. Chick Megan

Most thankful for my family -- immediate, extended and adopted. For the values that they have instilled and shared and the love and support they continue to shower me with everyday. Chick Susie
