Question of the Week

QOW Archives »

What will be the most memorable "holiday moment" of this season?

There just isn't one most memorable moment--there are several:

  • Six family Christmas get-togethers. Wonderful time at each one.
  • Visiting the Minneapolis neighborhood where I grew up. Visited the home where I grew up, two of the schools I attended, the site of the church where I was baptized, confirmed, and married in, and Pete's and my first apartment.
  • Watched my grandson play in two holiday hockey tournaments--saw him score two goals and had one assist.
  • Spent time with all three of my daughters.

  • Trying to get the lights and garland up on my new 10 foot Christmas tree using the vacuum accessories.
  • Receiving all the picture Christmas cards from friends and family - I love them!
  • Traveling to Minnesota and having a Normal Rockwell early Christmas.
  • Enjoying the 1 inch of snow that fell in Minnesota and my daughter saying she wished she was born in Minnesota.
  • Playing the Imagine Ifff....game and laughing my head off.
  • Laughing at my daughter after 6 days in Minnesota; she was glad she lived in Atlanta where it is warm.
  • Watching Papa Joe be Santa Claus.
  • Going to the 5:30 children's service on Christmas Eve.
  • Loving my first Christmas in my new home.

The most memorable holiday moment will be celebrating our daughter's first Christmas. Her 90-year-old great grandmother has flown all of the way from Arizona to spend the holidays with us. Every day with all of us together, including our little nephew whose on the way (20 weeks and counting) will be memorable. Chick Kristin

I know this one already. My Mom, who is 78 is receiving a brand new car from my Dad for Christmas -- quite a gift but the effort he put into to it is what is really extraordinary. Raising five children meant a lot of used "grocery getters" or station wagons filled with all of the paraphernalia and mess that five children in ten years can create. Chick Susie

This morning when we were all standing in line for the ski lift. My son said this is a great way to spend Christmas. It was snowing big huge flakes. Magical! Miriam
