A Chick at the Olympics #7

In case you haven't heard, Chick Karin's husband, Phil Housley, is a member of the United States Olympic Hockey team. Karin and her family headed to Salt Lake for the games and is filing a sporadic report from the city. See Report Index.

Okay... it's the day. It's the Gold Medal Game Day!!

AAAaaaGGggghHHhh. I'm freakin'. Not really. I'm not really freakin, I just want it to be over. It's so much fun talking about the possibility of a gold medal, but to actually have it a few hours away, is weird. I'm just so happy that we actually get to go home with a silver. That's huge. We should be happy. But, what everyone really wants is the gold. I think I wrote something like that in the book. (I used Kristi Yamaguchi as the example. Now just substitute the U.S. Hockey Team.) I'm off to the game. Cross your fingers. Set your televisions to be ON at 3:00 EST. This is the last event of the Olympics, and the last event for U.S. Hockey. If you're wondering where we all are after, it's either at a huge Anheuser Busch private party, or home... packing our bags. Let's hope I'm drinking a Bud Light.

By the way, last night... two kids went to see 'NSync, and two kids came with me to see Pusch... the hot new Canadian band playing up in Park City. (Park City is a suburb of Salt Lake. The ritzy ritzy suburb in the mountains.) Pusch was awesome, and the fans went wild. Look for their CD to come out soon, I'm telling you... it's a big one. I hear 'NSync was pretty good, too.

Bringing my Gaviscon, my Pepto, my barf bag, and some paper towels to the game. Let's hope I don't need them.
