Weekly WrapSeptember 1, 2000 | Weekly Wrap Archive »The Chicks have been gearing up all week for their big purchasing vote on Labor Day. What's it gonna be? They have it narrowed down to these ten companies...Yahoo, EMC, Broadcom, Philip Morris, UPS, Amgen, Outback Steakhouse, Adobe, Internet Security Systems and Applied Materials. Stay tuned, and check out the chatter on the in The Meeting Place message boards. In other market news... Oracle and Sun Microsystems hit new highs this week....Yeee Haaaa!! Go Chicks. And on Friday...one analyst had it out for Yahoo and took some jabs at it's revenue model. He didn't like that most of Yahoo's cash comes from advertising. Whatever. But, if there were ever a stock to go ON SALE... Yahoo could be it. Man, it was $200 in March and it's dropped to $113. Maybe this will be the clincher for the Chicks' buy. |
