It’s a Chick Fest! Chicks from across the country will be getting together to chat about life, family and investing in the stock market. The Chicks from the Chicks Laying Nest Eggs Investment Club will be getting together for a face-to-face meeting, and you’ve been invited to come along! This first annual Chick Fest will take place in Chick Karin’s home state of Minnesota, in the Twin Cities, near the Mall of America. (A Chick has priorities!)

The fun begins Friday evening, July 20, 2001 with a Chick cocktail hour (complete with feathers), dinner and a Chick Chat. (Chick Karin will talk your ear off about nothing.) The next morning, enjoy a Chick Pajama Party at breakfast while asking questions of the Chicks and separating into mini-groups. (Either meet with your own club, or join topic specific discussions.)

Saturday afternoon we will be heading down to one of the country's ten most scenic waterways, the St.Croix River, to have lunch at Chick Lynn’s house. We'll giggle, tan, laugh, sign books, sip feathery cocktails and of course talk stocks.  We'll conclude the evening at The Cafe Odyssey restaurant at the Mall of America. $125 per Chick. This includes Chick Chat and Dinner (with two drinks) on Friday, breakfast and seminars on Saturday, and lunch at Chick Lynn’s (complete with book signings and sunscreen.) All transportation while attending Chick Fest is included. Accommodations, golf costs and dinner Saturday night are extra.

Since we're all Chicks, the next logical question that comes to mind is, "What should I where?"  Friday night is dress your best, but leave the sequins at home. Saturday breakfast is in your Chick PJs or your best substitute.  Saturday afternoon on the river is casual, bring your swim suit; you may want to take a dip. Saturday night's theme is anything goes, but it has to be yellow (Chick Spirit, dontchya know).

Fly in the night before (or early morning depending where you are) and play a round of golf before the big Chick Fest begins. We’ve planned a little Chick golf tournament. (We had to. Chick Julie would have it no other way. She owns a golf course and it would be rude if we didn’t bring her some business. Besides, Chick Jeanette is a ringer for Nancy Lopez.) Just call Brockway Golf Course and make to your tee time. Remember to say your part of the Chick Fest ’01.  Green Fees are $20, and transportation to and from course to be determined. (Like will be split depending on how many people will be going.) This will be a best-ball tournament with longest drive and closest to the pin awards. FORE!
