Research A Company InstructionsPrint This Page | Close This Page Follow these steps to gather the information needed to research a company using the Chicks' Dozen Worksheet at www.chickslayingnesteggs.com. Step OneUse your web browser to go to http://finance.google.com Step TwoType in the name of the company that you want to research, or the ticker symbol into the box at the top of the page. Click Search Finance. Step ThreeEverything you need to know about the management of your company is available if you scroll down to the bottom right, and click on a name. Get their bio and their compensation package. Also, above the management, in the Summary Section, are details about your company. Step FourIndustry: Under Related Companies on the left (which would be their competition) is the Sector and the Industry that your company is in. Feel free to play around with the charts in this section also. Step FiveScroll down to the Financial Statements. Google has already summarized part of it for you, but, to get the annualized reports and a more detailed statement, click on the Income Statement or the Balance Sheet that are underlined and highlighted. Print these pages and use them when inputting your Chicks Dozen. We like to compare quarter to quarter and year over year to get a better big picture. That's it!
